Ripe Pu-erh
Ripe Pu-erh (熟普洱) is made from large-leaf Yunnan tea that is sun-dried and steamed, then post-fermented through a controlled “wet piling” process before being compressed, making it possible to create mellow, aged-style Pu-erh in months rather than decades. The result is a dark, silky liquor with soft notes of earth, wood and cocoa, and very low bitterness. It is also suitable for ageing, as its flavour continues to evolve in storage and layer its character over time.
