Description

The 2013 Junchang Hao Ripe Pu-erh uses the same signature blend of ancient-tree material from Menghai and Fengqing in Lincang, balancing richness with fragrance, but it shows more youthful clarity beside the deeper 2009.

The brew is a bright red-amber, with golden tips often visible in the leaf. The fragrance is sweet and refined, leaning toward dried longan, warm grain, and a gentle roasted-nut note, with an early aged character beginning to deepen. The texture is thick yet silky, smooth from the first infusion, and the aftertaste is clean and lingering, leaving a soft sweetness that stays in the mouth without heaviness. It is an indulgent tea with the structure to become darker and more opulent as it continues to age.

Brewing Guide

Use 5-10g of tea and a 100-150ml gaiwan or small teapot.

Water temperature should be at ~100°C.

Rinse the leaves once before the first infusion.
5-10s for the first steep, a few seconds longer for each subsequent steep.

Storage

Pu-erh is alive and continues to evolve over time. Store your tea in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight and strong odours. Avoid sealed containers—Pu-erh benefits from gentle airflow. Over the years, its flavour will deepen and mature naturally, rewarding patience and proper care.
