Description

Six Famous Tea Mountain’s “Shen Ma” (Divine Steed) Zodiac Cake is the Horse-year release in their long-running Zodiac series. First introduced in 2004 and continued annually for over two decades. For 2026, this edition is pressed in the classic 357g format, making it easy to gift, store, and enjoy, while still offering strong long-term ageing potential.

This cake is a limited release of 62,026 cakes, and each cake is individually coded for traceability and collection. The wrapper design comes from Six Famous Tea Mountain’s “Print Zodiac” era: a China-red base, a bold woodcut-style horse as the focal artwork, and subtle brand textures layered throughout. The horse motif is detailed with traditional auspicious patterns, symbolising abundance, good fortune, and blessings that follow you. A piece designed for display, gifting, and long-term collection.

Made using the Zodiac series’ classic recipe with ecological-origin material from Yunnan’s misty growing conditions, the cake presses into tight, dark, glossy strands. Brewed, it delivers a clear, bright golden liquor with high, lingering aroma, and a flavour that is full, smooth, and refreshing, finishing with a sweet returning note and a long throat feel. The infused leaves remain lively and full, showing careful selection and solid quality.

Brewing Guide

Use 5-10g of tea and a 100-150ml gaiwan or small teapot.

Water temperature should be at ~95°C.

Rinse the leaves once before the first infusion.
5-10s for the first steep, a few seconds longer for each subsequent steep.

Storage

Pu-erh is alive and continues to evolve over time. Store your tea in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight and strong odours. Avoid sealed containers—Pu-erh benefits from gentle airflow. Over the years, its flavour will deepen and mature naturally, rewarding patience and proper care.
